Singles Chart 09.10

Monday 9th October 2017

Big debut this week by Melisa Bester, a.k.a E^st as she slams into the Number One spot on the Triple J Most Played with “Life Goes On”. Australian singer songwriter E^st is just 17 years old! Hails from the New South Wales Central Coast.

Post Malone “Rockstar“ clings to the Number One position on the ARIA Charts for the second week in a row.

Ed Sheeran “Perfect” steals the top spot away from Macklemore “Same Love” on the iTunes Charts just as Macklemore “Same Love” moves across to the ARIA Charts debuting at Number 4. This is the second time “Same Love” appears in the ARIA Charts since becoming a Number 1 hit back in May 2013.

Camila Cabello “Havana” climbs up from Number 16 last week into the ARIA Top Ten this week at Number 8. “Havana” is also gaining points on the iTunes up from 17 last week to the Number 2 position this week.

Maroon 5 feat SZA “What Lovers Do” is a great radio friendly track. The single is sitting steady at the same position as last week in the ARIA Charts at Number 21 and the iTunes up from 32 last week to Number 23 this week.

Only one debut this week on the ARIA Charts with P!nk ”Beautiful Trauma” at Number 27. This is the title track from P!nk’s seventh album.

There is no music video for “Beautiful Trauma” right now so I thought we would share a video by rock legend Tom Petty who died on October 2, 2017.

His singles “Free Fallin”, “I Won’t Back Down”, “Learning To Fly” and “Refugee” have all landed in the iTunes Charts this week. “Free Fallin” debuts Number 25 and for those of us who were around in the 80’s will bring back memories of Tom Cruise in the blockbuster movie “Jerry McGuire”…
